ok, i emailed the first draft of this story, and i just want to update how far I've got.

so, it starts out with a this teenager, 17-ish, lived, rather held hostage, in an "institute" it's basically a laboratory, or something. we dont know what it is exactly, but we do know it isn't good. the main character escapes, revealing to the reader he has wings.
the next chapter starts out in a school not too far from where he, main character, was. the school is kinda run down, and broken, but still standing. it's an extremely odd school, people are weird, teachers are crazy[the bad kind] and the community is keeping a secret from us, the reader.
we next get introduced to the second main character[there is only two], a girl about the same age, but filthy rich, huge castle, fancy cloths, all of that. but, what she lacks, besides someone to talk to and understand, is the snotty attitude of many rich people. she is humble, kind and doesn't think of her self better than anyone else. she too is hiding a secret, and cant let anyone get close.
new chapter, we find out that there is a new kid in school, so this chapter, and maybe a few after, deals with the minor characters interacting with the major ones and with the school.
the main 2 characters seem to be bumping into each other a lot in school, eventually they become "friends", but neither truly trust the other.
a few weeks pass, now it gets interesting, people stop coming to school, nothing is thought of it until a second kid suddenly vanishes. then a third. ...
this is a mystery novel that explores the secret of the town, the institute and the people that have vanished completely from the face of this earth.
